Libby Farris

Elizabeth L. Farris (Libby), a founding member of Lime Wrangler Productions, has been writing since 1997 after a first career as an Environmental Chemist. She concentrates on comedy screenplays and stage plays, and is currently working on the libretto to her second musical.
One of her screenplays, three stage plays, three short stories, and two creative nonfiction pieces have placed in contests and have been published in anthologies. In 1999, along with Chris Redish, she co-founded Phoenix Stage and Screenwriters Group, and currently serves as Treasurer.
Her stageplay productions and awards include:
"Shrinkwrapped" and "www.caughtinadrag.net" - produced by My Home Theatre Company's "Light of Stage" Festival, 2001
"Zoloft-ola" co-written with Bruce Bridegroom, produced by Tucson's Old Pueblo Playwrights "Play in a Day", 2003
"There's Something About That Man", a musical written with collaborators Neil Shernoff and James Pilkington, has been chosen for production by North Valley Community Playhouse in February 2005.
"Robert's Rules" Finalist in the 2003 Senior Adult Theatre One-Act Playwriting Contest. This play was performed by Scottsdale Readers Theatre in January 2004.
"A Tumble of Weeds" Finalist in New Jersey Repertory Company's Theatre Brut Festival, 2004.
To date, she has written three screenplays, nine one-act plays, two full-length plays, and one libretto to a musical. She looks forward to her next production, and can be reached at farriselizabeth@prodigy.net.
